“ Out of all the Japanese Restaurant’s I’ve eaten outside of Japan ofcourse, this is on top of the list for me. We worry so much of our daughters (3&6) when we eat out as they are the most picky eaters since they are very particular taste that they swallow like their Dad. When we were here, my wife and I were shocked that they’ve tried almost everything we’ve ordered where normally they only eat something crispy like fried chicken or prawn tempura. This time, we were totally amazed that they have tried everything and that my eldest daughter loved their Ramen Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth was very rich, pure and tasty. A taste I tried finding couldn’t find anywhere else but only here in this amazing shop. The staff are also so great and very accommodating. It’s our first day here in Birmingham and it doesn’t disappoint. We capped our day happy despite our long travels. Very reasonable price for a taste to die for. We are originally from Bury St Edmunds, but we’d definitely come by Mount Fuji Japanese Restaurant again if time permits and I totally recommend this if you are after worth the money with the feels and taste of Japan at the tip of your tongue. “ Excellent Japanese food. I would almost go back to Birmingham just to eat here. We came in with a pushchair (pre highchair age) and they weren't sure what to do with us at first which is the only reason I've not given 5 stars on service and atmosphere, there isn't much room in there, having said this that's exactly how I picture a Japanese place so it's a personal thing for having a baby with us. I would like to say counter to this, their kids meals look absolutely amazing and I even ordered a side (prawns) based on what a child near us had. It was a few months back so I can't really remember exactly what we had but I can remember my partner asking me to stop making those noises while I happily ate my food. It was some kind of donburi bowl. He said his ramen could have been spicier but he has dead tastebuds, I thought it was spicy. Our whole table were more than happy with their meals and if I wasn't so full I probably would have asked if I could have it again for takeaway to eat later. Highly recommend. ”
